WELCOME TO UNDEREARNERS ANONYMOUS

Underearners Anonymous (UA) is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other, that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from compulsive underearning.

The only requirement for membership is the desire to stop underearning. There are no dues or fees; we are self-supporting through our own contributions.

UA is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organisation, or institution; does not wish to engage in any controversy; neither endorses nor opposes any causes.

Our primary purpose is to stop compulsive underearning, one day at a time, and to help other underearners do the same.

If you are having earning problems, and think you may be a compulsive underearner, we believe you have come to the right place and this programme can help you.

It is suggested that at first you attend at least six meetings so you have time to identify with the speakers, begin to absorb the UA concepts, learn more about the UA tools, and start making outreach calls.

Our programme is based on the belief that the foundation of change and recovery from compulsive underearning is to be found in working the Twelve Steps and abiding by the Twelve Traditions, first developed by Alcoholics Anonymous.

Underearning is many things, not all of which are about money.

While the most visible consequence is the inability to provide for one’s needs, including future needs, underearning is also about the inability to fully acknowledge and express our capabilities and competencies. It is about underachieving, or under-being, no matter how much money we make.

The Tools of UA include, and reinforce, the tried and true tools of recovery provided by the Twelve Steps.

Members of UA also utilize additional tools – both individually and with partners – to support taking action that will create lives that are full, prosperous and grounded in serenity.

If you’re visiting our website for the first time, we suggest you explore the literature page, beginning with the piece entitled, About UA.

Thank you for visiting!

The AA literature used by UA is approved by Alcoholics Anonymous.
